About Us
A Story Rooted in Bahamian Land, Plants & People
Bahamas Botanicals was born from a simple but powerful idea: what if spirits could reconnect people with the land, the plants, and the farmers behind every bottle?

Our Mission
Follow the farmer, and you’ll know what’s inside the bottle.
It started with a question. If you drink wine, you often know the vineyard, the grape, maybe even the farmer. But if you drink a spirit—do you know where the sugarcane grew? What botanical gave it that aroma? Juan & Andy wanted to change that—to bring awareness to our products and the agriculture behind them.
After years working with distillers across Cognac, Italy, and Poland, they brought the philosophy home. The Bahamas had everything—rich soil, tropical sunlight, and native botanicals long used in bush medicine. Instead of exporting that raw value, they chose to process it locally—keeping the craft, the expertise, and the benefit right here in the islands. That decision became Bahamas Botanicals.
“What if spirits were named after the very plants they come from? Not for marketing—but for education. To reconnect people with what they’re drinking.”
— Juan, Co-Creator

A Social Enterprise
A Bridge Between Cultivation, Creativity & Community

Uplifting Farmers
By growing, processing, and bottling locally sourced plants, we create real opportunities for Bahamian farmers—turning native crops into premium spirits made at home.

Advancing Research
In partnership with the University of The Bahamas, we study the medicinal and chemical properties of native plants—building a knowledge base that benefits agriculture and science alike.

Keeping Value Local
Instead of exporting raw botanicals overseas, we process and distill them right here in The Bahamas—keeping the craft, the expertise, and the economic benefit in the islands.
“Bahamas Botanicals is more than a distillery—a business built to uplift the community by connecting agriculture, science, and craftsmanship into something greater than the sum of its parts.”

Our Vision
The Botanical Islands of the World
We envision a future where The Bahamas is recognized not only for its beaches, but for its plants, flavors, and traditions found nowhere else on earth.
A place where visitors come to experience the story of the land—bottled, shared, and celebrated. Where every sip carries the essence of Bahamian soil, sunlight, and generations of knowledge.
From seed to sip, from island to spirit—Bahamian Farming in a Bottle.
